Yes! We create beautiful, rustic frames in our home woodworking studio. We offer 6 different stains, ranging from a very light ‘natural’ stain to a ‘true black’ stain. Please see our Framing notes on the SHOP page for photos of the profile, stain options and examples.

Yes. I’m always open to hearing your ideas for a commission. Please email me here (sandra@studiosjursen.com) with your request. The request should include the type of painting you’re looking for (ie. a mountainscape; or an abstract, etc.) the size (in inches) and orientation (vertical or horizontal), whether or not you’d like it framed (though I can always show you both prices) and references to a few of my paintings that you like or would like me to use as inspiration, any color schemes you like (or really don’t like) and totally optional, but it sometimes helps to see the space you are considering. Lastly, if the painting will be shipped, please indicate the city/state so I can include shipping costs - or, conversely, please tell me if you’re local and will be picking up. If the commission is accepted, I’ll put together a plan which will include specifications, cost, and an estimated schedule. Generally, I aim to respond to commission requests within 2-3 days of the email.

If you are local to central New Jersey and the piece remains available, yes. If you’re not local, I’m happy to send additional photos or do a video chat. For both scenarios, please reach out via email to request a showing or more photos.

Prices include UPS insured parcel shipping to the continental US.

Customers who are able to pick up locally will receive an adjusted price. Please select PICKUP at checkout and you will be given a promo code.

For custom framed orders which are shipping: please allow 3-4 weeks from the order date to delivery.

Sometimes we can get it done quicker, if you have a special need, please reach out and we’ll always let you know if it’s possible. We ship using Insured UPS parcel service. You will receive an email with the shipping confirmation and tracking number on the day that the painting ships. Once the painting ships, depending on your location, it could take anywhere from 1-5 days to arrive.

For local pick-up of framed pieces: Please allow 2-3 weeks for framing and finishing before pick-up. Again, reach out if there’s a special situation where you would need it sooner, and we’ll see what we can do.

Everything is done by hand, in our home. While the painting you are purchasing is already finished (all of my paintings are one-of-a-kind, originals) we don’t frame the piece until it’s sold and then finishing the frame to order as well as making it ready to hang can be time-consuming parts of the process.

If we are shipping the piece, that adds a little more time, due to carefully packaging the piece so it arrives safely.

That being said, sometimes it will only take a week or two to ship out or be ready for local pick-up, but we allow ourselves a grace period, in case there is a delay. We will be in touch as soon as the piece is ready and will send the tracking information once it ships.

While this is not a standard part of our offerings, we can absolutely discuss this if you are not able to pick-up, but live locally (within reason) and/or the painting is too large for you to pick-up. Please reach out via email or DM on Instagram and, if it seems feasible, I will get back to you with an additional delivery fee and time frame.
